Join us at Torrance City Hall to share your voice regarding the new proposed building codes affecting the Hillside Overlay and Coastal Region, in response to SB4 to add ‘affordable housing’ within Religious and Educational institutional areas in the City of Torrance.

Today, the draft as written, will append code amendments allowing religious institutions and educational institutions to build new structures such as spires and towers with unlimited height constraints - negatively impacting views, avian marine life.

The amendments do not have a means of enforcement such as requiring a deed right to assure affordable housing is properly managed. None of these amendments consider the population density, such as requiring a traffic study, and coastal commission review.
